Our puppies are raised in our home as part of our everyday lives. While health, structure and beautiful coats matter, our greatest focus is raising loving, confident dogs who thrive as family companions.
From their earliest days, each puppy is given thoughtful experiences designed to build confidence, adaptability and trust. Through intentional handling, enrichment, socialization and early training foundations, we prepare them not just to leave our home—but to become part of yours.
01 — THE FIRST WEEKS
Building confidence from the very beginning.
ENS + ESI
From the first days of life, we begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) during an important period of early development.
ENS uses a series of brief, gentle exercises designed to introduce puppies to mild, age-appropriate stimulation.
ESI introduces a new scent each day and allows us to observe each puppy's natural response and engagement.
These early exercises are just the beginning of our puppy-raising curriculum. As the puppies grow and their world begins to open up, their experiences grow right along with them.
02 — LEARNING THROUGH PLAY
Growing confidence through curiosity, play and age-appropriate challenges
As our puppies grow, their world grows with them.
We introduce new toys, textures, sounds, surfaces and age-appropriate challenges that encourage them to explore, problem-solve and engage with their environment.
Our curriculum changes as each litter develops.
We watch how the puppies respond and introduce new experiences at a pace that encourages curiosity and confidence without overwhelming them.
03 — PREPARING FOR HOME
Building the everyday foundations families can continue at home.
As our puppies grow, we begin introducing the routines and skills that will help make the transition into their new homes easier.
Puppies begin crate training and potty-training foundations while still with us. They become accustomed to a daily routine and begin learning that there are appropriate places to sleep, play and potty.
We also introduce regular grooming and handling, including brushing, baths, blow drying, nail care, paw handling and the everyday touch they'll experience throughout their lives.
Our puppies don't go home as fully trained eight-week-old dogs—and we would never promise that. Instead, they leave with positive early experiences and a strong foundation their families can continue building upon.
04 — CONFIDENCE IN THE REAL WORLD
Real-world experiences, introduced thoughtfully and safely.
Starting at around three weeks old, our puppies begin going on daily car rides, helping travel become a normal and familiar part of their routine from an early age.
As they grow, we look for safe opportunities to introduce them to different people, environments and experiences. Our puppies may participate in visits to children's hospitals, teaching days at schools, and controlled visits with new children and adults of different ages.
Because young puppies are not yet fully vaccinated, these experiences are carefully planned. We focus on providing meaningful socialization while limiting unnecessary exposure to high-traffic dog areas and outside germs.
Our goal is for our puppies to experience more than the inside of our home before they leave us. We want them to begin learning that new people, new places and new experiences are simply part of life.
05 — READY FOR THEIR FAMILIES
The beginning of their next chapter.
By the time our puppies are ready to leave us, they have spent their first weeks surrounded by people, routines, enrichment and carefully planned experiences designed to prepare them for life as family companions.
Before going home, each puppy receives a veterinary examination, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, and is microchipped.
Families also receive guidance on feeding, routines, crate training, potty training and what to expect during those important first days at home.
But our relationship with our families doesn't end on go-home day. We are here as a resource as your puppy settles in, grows and becomes part of your family.
