Our dogs are family first—and that's where My-T Fine began.
My-T Fine began with a love for dogs and has grown into a breeding program centered around the kind of dogs we want in our own home—healthy, loving, confident companions who truly become part of the family.
We raise our puppies in our Hillsboro, Oregon home, surrounded by everyday life, children, other dogs and the people who love them. Our program is intentionally hands-on, from thoughtfully selecting our parent dogs to raising each litter and getting to know the families who will eventually take them home.
For us, this has never been about simply producing puppies. It's about the dogs we raise, the families we meet, and watching those puppies grow into deeply loved family members.
THE DOGS THAT STARTED IT ALL
Oakley came into our lives in 2014 and was our first doodle.
Before Oakley, I had bred Maltese for nearly 15 years, but by that point in my life, I truly never imagined I would breed dogs again.
Then came Oakley.
There was something different about him. He was incredibly intuitive and deeply connected to me, but it wasn't only me who felt it. People were naturally drawn to him — partly because of this enormous, fluffy teddy-bear appearance, but mostly because of his soft, sweet, loving temperament.
I remember thinking, everyone should know what it feels like to be loved by a dog like this.
Oakley made me want to breed again, but this time with a very intentional purpose: temperament, health, and structure. I wanted to raise dogs that weren't simply beautiful, but dogs that would become deeply connected, loving members of their families.
And nearly 12 years later, Oakley is still very much a part of My-T Fine.
Around here, he has earned the title “Uncle Oakley.”
When our puppies are old enough to begin meeting the other dogs in our home, Oakley is one of the first dogs they get to know. He is soft, patient, gentle, and kind — giving young puppies a safe introduction to life with dogs outside of their mama and littermates.
As they grow, they meet more of our dogs and experience different personalities, sizes, and styles of play, all through carefully supervised interactions.
But Uncle Oakley will always be special.
The dog who inspired My-T Fine is still here, helping us raise the next generation.
It all started with Oakley — and in so many ways, it still does..
It’s Always Been a Family Affair
Hi, I’m Toni — and My-T Fine has always been a family affair.
My mom and I started this journey together, with my daughter right alongside us from the very beginning. Over the years, dogs, puppies, whelping boxes, and puppy snuggles simply became part of our family's everyday life.
Today, my mom has officially retired from puppy raising and is happily living her best life between Hood Canal and sunny Arizona — although she will always be part of the story that built My-T Fine.
My daughter, who grew up alongside this program, is still very much a part of it. And now another generation is growing up surrounded by puppies too: my granddaughters.
Four generations of our family have now been part of My-T Fine. What began as something my mom, my daughter, and I shared has become part of our family's story — and now I get to watch the next generation grow up surrounded by the dogs and puppies we love.
But what makes all of those years and generations especially meaningful is knowing where these puppies are going next.
Our family gets the privilege of loving them first — of welcoming them into the world, caring for them, teaching them, and giving them the very best beginning we can.
Their story may begin here with our family, but the life that matters most will be the one they share with yours.
Where Our Journey Led Us
We never had a grand plan for what My-T Fine would someday become. It happened naturally — one dog, one litter, and one generation at a time.
Saint Berdoodles were where our hearts started. Oakley showed us everything we loved about these incredible dogs: their gentle nature, their devotion to their people, and that wonderful combination of size, softness, and sweetness.
Along the way, we fell in love with Bernedoodles too. We found in them so many of the qualities we had valued from the very beginning — loving, people-focused temperaments, beautiful structure, and dogs that truly want to be part of their families.
Over time, Bernedoodles naturally became the primary focus of My-T Fine, while our Saint Berdoodles remained an important part of who we are and where we came from.
Today, we continue our treasured Saint Berdoodle lines through a small number of thoughtfully planned litters, while raising Bernedoodles in a range of sizes for families looking for that same special connection we fell in love with all those years ago.
The dogs may have changed along the way, and we've learned more with every generation, but what matters to us never has:
healthy, beautiful dogs with wonderful temperaments — raised to be deeply loved members of a family.
My-T Fine Today
Today, My-T Fine is still very much what it has always been — dogs, puppies, family, and a whole lot of life happening together.
Our puppies are born and raised in our home, where they grow up surrounded by the sounds, routines, people, and dogs that are part of everyday family life. From their earliest days, we thoughtfully introduce them to new experiences as they are ready — different sounds and surfaces, car rides, toys, children, new people, and eventually the other dogs in our home.
Some of our breeding dogs live with us, while others are deeply loved members of their guardian families. This allows our dogs to have what we believe every dog deserves most: a family of their own.
We are intentional about health, structure, temperament, and every pairing we choose, but raising puppies is about so much more than what can be measured on paper.
It’s sitting beside a whelping box in the middle of the night...
It’s watching a puppy experience something new for the first time...
It’s knowing every little personality in a litter and watching their confidence grow week by week....
And after all these years, we still get excited about every litter and every puppy.
Every birth is special. Every litter brings something new. Every puppy becomes part of our story.
We understand the weight of what we are doing. These aren't simply puppies we are raising for a few short weeks. Each one will become someone's beloved family member, their constant companion, their best friend — woven into the memories and chapters of a family's life.
We know that somewhere in every litter may be someone's Oakley — the dog who changes everything, who becomes part of their family's story, and who they will someday look back on and say, that's where it all began.
That is a responsibility we will never take lightly.
